This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11:30 am–3 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Thai Spoon at (919) 908-7539; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is thaispoon1nc.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

We kept seeing the restaurant and then forgetting it was here. Hubs said... Ibwant savory food, let's go get Thai... and it triggered the memory. We are now back for a second visit. For appetzera we have had the Fresh Shrimp Basil rolls and Nam Tok. The basil rolls are in rice paper versus fried. They are light and fresh, as is the Nam Tok. The lime in the Nam Tok was my favorite part of the dish I had some with and aome without spice. For dinner we have had the Shrimp and Bomb chicken on the board specials, spicy Basil wiith beef and Spicy Cashew Nut with chucken. The shrimp dish was light, flavorful and spicy. The Bomb Chicken to me was a spin on sweet and sour... only liggtly sweet and a good spicy. The spicy basil and spicy cashew are heartier disher and full of flavor. Our server reccommeded a 3 out of 4 and to add more if not spicy enough. Excellent recommendation. Great family run restaurant and we thoroughly enjoy the great dishes and very generous portions.

I have been driving by this place for years. No one in my circle has ever mentioned this place and I am kicking myself for not having come by sooner. Thai Spoon is very clean, the staff tonight has been attentive and courteous, and the food is amazing. I got the crispened chicken curry, and WOW. Also try the thai green tea, after 100 degree day that set it off for me. I've got a new favorite local spot! I'd take a pic of my food but its gone, dudes. Maybe next time! 😁

The food here is great! I love their curry with avocado and cashews, it’s very creamy! They use fresh pineapple in their pineapple fried rice, and give a huge portion! I always look forward to having leftovers the next day.

Excellent sauces and food quality, decor is simple and understated, but needs attention to detail and to be updated. Furniture is worn. Service was attentive and capable. All dishes were wonderful, the cashew duck and bomb chicken were well balanced. My psnang curry though, had inadequate actual calories in it. I needed to order a side of noodles and a second ball of rice to soak up all the curry (which was delicious) but had nothing in it to eat, save for some tofu and a few pieces of bell pepper.

This place really surprised us. Food was super good. Large portions, very flavorful. Server and β€œFront Man” Joe was so polite and attentive. He also had a great sense of humor. Could tell they had a lot of call in orders but not many dining in so it was very pleasant. Highly recommend this place.
